This year’s Clippers for Cancer event was a huge success! Raising over $4,500, this takes our tally to $13,500 over the last three years. This year it was fantastic to see students from most classes in our school ranging from first term transitions students through to year 7 students and teachers taking part. This year, two very brave girls joined the cause, and three of last year’s graduating class mates (Art, Jarrod and Liam) returned to continue their commitment to this event. Although starting with just our class in 2009, Clippers for Cancer has truly become an event for the whole school community. Thank you to all of the hairdressers, families and students that have supported this event. We are looking forward to presenting a cheque to the Little Heroes Foundation very soon.

Hi Guys!
Wow! What a worthy cause. Only one boy in my school acually shaved his head and another gave himself a mohawk with a little hair on the sides. But that was on ly for the worlds greatest shave which is sort of the same thing because it still raises money for cancer.
Bye for now!!

I’m Emily and I am also from Pam’s class at Hawthorndene Primary School !! This is my second year in Pam’s class and I remember following what you guys did last year and I remember our class did a HUGE talk about it in class. $13,500 over three years is truly amazing !! You guys should be extremely proud of yourselves and you guys are heroes to lots and lots of people with cancer out there. People with cancer would be so thankful !! I hope you carry on doing it and it should turn into a tradition at your school !!
Do you think you will carry on doing it for at least the next few years ??
